Starting out in the punk cabaret scene, and now progressing into to a huge stadium rock sound with orchestral layers, bold guitars and intricate arrangements, comparable with other musical oddities such as Muse, Kate Bush, Evanescence and even Marilyn Manson. If other bands try to fit in with musical trends then Birdeatsbaby are sticking out like a bunch of sore thumbs.

The band has amassed a cult-like following across the world (aptly named “The Flock”) and been able to successfully crowd-fund each of their releases through the help of their fans, namely their 2014 release “The Bullet Within” which raised £11,000 on Kickstarter. The band have also had support from some high name artists including Amanda Palmer & Neil Gaiman, and toured extensively in UK, mainland Europe, America and Mexico.

Darling Waste

Darling Waste began in Cleveland, Ohio. Chasing the dream to New York City, Darling Waste evolved into a 5-piece “mobile rock unit” and hit the road. After fifteen years, 500 DIY shows in 11 countries, & an incomprehensible number of miles & hours spent wearing out 10 vans, the band has built a fiercely loyal army of devoted fans. After selling close to 11,000 records without a record label or distribution, the industry has also taken note. The band’s music has been featured on MTV, VH1, Showtime and Miramax distributed films, and has been played in rotation on over 100 radio stations internationally.

The band’s working class mentality, dynamic live show, and fan connection have afforded Darling Waste opportunities to play several UK festivals and share the stage with Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Bayside, Dashboard Confessional, Yellowcard, Saves the Day, Something Corporate, Secondhand Serenade, Aiden, Kill Hannah, and many others.

Simonne and The Dark Stars

Described as ‘indie noir meets dark pop meets anthemic classical’, Simonne and The Dark Stars is a Brighton-based collective, fronted by classically trained pianist, lyricist and performer Simonne Weeks. Formed in 2012, the band swiftly grew to become a firm fixture on the London and Sussex gig circuit, gaining notoriety not just for their dramatic songs and distinctive ‘fairy-tale-like’ stage presence, but also for the ‘poignant and flawless’ vocals of front woman Simonne. Discussing the bands evolution, Simonne explains, “Simonne and The Dark Stars is no longer a finite group of musicians, but a community of creative minds.” Whilst the term ‘Dark Stars’ still naturally refers to the collective of musicians featuring on recorded tracks and at live performances, it has also expanded to include the ever-growing constellation of friends, fans and collaborators who orbit the band, offering creative and practical support.
