Harpin' by the Sea are back on February 3rd 2018 with their
8th Annual Winter Festival and Learn To Play Harmonica Day.

Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned player this is a great opportunity to indulge in a cornucopia of harmonica instruction, jamming, headline entertainment and fun!

One of the most popular events in the in the UK harmonica calendar, HBTS 8 offers a full day of workshops at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels and a chance to celebrate that versatile little instrument - the Harmonica!

For Beginners, a great opportunity to learn some solid foundation skills.
For Intermediate players, our workshops will help take you to the next level.
For Advanced players, an ideal chance to glean new ideas from our experts.

Our Workshop team includes highly regarded harmonica players and teachers:
Lee Sankey, Victor Puertos, Paul Gillings, Richard Taylor, Adam Burney and John Cook.
Plus our special guest Rory McLeod.


Registration - 9.30am
Introduction - 10.15am
Workshops at all levels - 10.30am-1pm / 2.30pm-3.45pm / 4pm-5.15pm
(All Ages - Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult for workshops)

Beginners please bring along a 10 hole blues-style harmonica in ‘C’
Intermediate and Advanced players, please bring all the keys you have!

Jam Session - All Participants Welcome - 5.30pm-6.30pm
(All Ages - Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult for Jam Session)

'HARPIN' BY THE SEA' EVENING CONCERT - 8pm-11pm (Over 18's only after 8pm)


Super-Busker and Jongleur Extraordinaire!

Rory will be packing his lyrics, rhythms, harmonicas, guitar, spoons, whistles, dance board and charisma, and flying down from Edinburgh to entertain and amaze all!


The celebrated Suitcase Brother will be jetting in exclusively from Barcelona for this event and his UK debut. Victor is a master of vintage acoustic and electric blues harmonica.


Will be bringing their invigorating wild ride through Neo-Punk, Roots and Americana all the way from Sunny Croydon!

Concert Only tickets will be on sale from January 2nd 2018, to give Workshop participants first opportunity to attend the whole event.

All participants are welcome to a pre HBTS8 meet up in the Brunswick's Cellar Bar, Friday Feb 2nd 8pm till 11pm. With many workshop leaders attending + a chance for early registration... £Free Entry
